Wow, talk about some brutal first round matches: Daniela Hantuchova v. Tatiana Golovin (Hantuchova won in straights); Venus Williams (in her first tournie since Wimbledon) v. Ana Ivanovic, and Schiavone v. Michaela Krajicek. Here's the draw.

There goes Pierce and Anna Lena. Can't say I'm too surprised. Golovin went out in 1r AGAIN? Just when I thought she brought her level of play up.
I want to see Venus win, as well as Schiavone (can this woman ever WIN a final? haha), she goes up against Vinci in 2r. This is a brutal tourney. But I care about Guangzhou more, as my two fav WTA player Jankovic and Li are both there!
Oh, as a sidenote, Kirilenko got beat in Korea. It seems like many of the teen queens are hitting a brick wall inside the Top 20, minus Ivanoic and Vaidslova, but the latter has three titles in the next 3 weeks, so I expect her to bottom out of the Top 15...

I really want Safina to win Luxemborg because she has had an amazing year with wins over Clijsters, Sharapova, Kuznetsova, and Dementieva. I think that Safina will reach the top 10 late this year, or early next year, shes a player that no one really talks about.

I really want to see Venus win Luxembourg. She's an amazing player. I don't know why, but I enjoy watching Venus play so much when she's healthy and playing well, more than Sharapova (who I also enjoy watching) or any other player on tour.

What's wrong with you boy? You Horny? Maria Sharapova is enjoyable? Right! Maybe in the playboy magazine but not in a tennis court. Venus? She screams her guts out! Like sharapova? Orgasmic screams make me dizzy :)

federated, do you HATE hingis? how come you didn't include anything about the hansol tournament in korea? :(

BTW, she just won her 1R match

Actually I don't hate Hingis--but come on, is it really news that she wins a tournament by beating #85 Olga Poutchkova in the final? If Sania had put up a real fight, instead of being brutalized 6-1 6-0 maybe I would have said something. (though this comment seems like it could have been a good enough post, lol).

Oh HANSOL in KOREA. doh. I will add some stuff! Been busy, maria!

John Emms, you do not judge a tennis player because they scream their guts out. Does this make Venus a crap tennis player. No. I would much rather watch Venus than Sharapova just like B-A-N-A-N-A-S said. Venus has 200% more flare than sharapova. Although this is only my opinion i can back that up with evidence that V is a much more successful tennis player when healthy. Well done to Venus for winning her first round match against Ana I. in straight sets. Hopefully she can continue this progress and get healthier just like Serena.
