From the AAP: Molik out of another tournament
Now Dancing With The Stars is out of the way, Alicia Molik can get back to what she does best - tennis.
But the Olympic bronze medallist, struck down by illness in the past year, is reluctant to announce her return to the tennis tour just yet.
Molik was booted off the celebrity show Dancing With The Stars last night after a performance which included an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction - tripping on the hem of her dress...
But the former world No 8 is still having to take things easy on court, after a debilitating inner ear viral infection, affecting her balance, vision and energy levels, hit her in March last year...
Now she plans to slowly increase her training over the next few months.
''I don't know (when I will return), I haven't even set a date,'' the 25-year-old said.
''For now, my priority is to train hard and I want to get myself match fit.
''I made a premature comeback last time so it's very important that I am comfortable and that my game is steadily improving before I do that again,'' said Molik, who has since plummeted to No 295 in the world.
''I want to feel comfortable and I don't want to put too much expectation on myself.
''It's going to take a lot of time and a lot of practice to get my form back, but I don't have to rush. I just have to work solidly and hard and eventually it will fall into place.''
