Lleyton Hewitt's people have apparently reached out to their "friendly" reporters to place the blame of Andrew McLeod for the DVD silliness: Lleyton: I've lost my mate

LLEYTON Hewitt is devastated and mystified over his broken friendship with fellow sports star Andrew McLeod.

Wimbledon and US Open champion Hewitt says he has no idea why Adelaide Crows footballer McLeod took federal court action over the DVD, Lleyton Hewitt: The Other Side, about their trip to the Northern Territory in 2003.

But friends of Hewitt describe McLeod as ungrateful and fickle, offering no thanks for living in the tennis champion's Adelaide mansion for six months before taking legal action.

"I'm just pleased this has been resolved," Hewitt said. "It could have been sorted out from the start if Andrew had just spoken to me and returned my calls. I still don't know why court proceedings were needed. In the end, Andrew said he was happy for the DVD to be released as it was."...

The McLeod camp insists the rift stems from Hewitt's dislike of Rachael McLeod and her continuing friendship with his former fiancee, tennis star Kim Clijsters.

When the McLeods reconciled, it was rumoured Hewitt was upset at being frozen out.

Hewitt's coach, Roger Rasheed, says Hewitt is bewildered.

"I find it extremely difficult to come to terms with Andrew isolating Lleyton after everything Lleyton has done in mateship," Rasheed said.

i love you lleyton, but i have to say i can see why andrew was mad about his wife being left off of the wedding guest list. shame shame, althouth we all know that bec was putting pressure to ax his wife from list, since she's friends with kim. what a shame they can't be buds anymore. hope l and a can patch things up between them.
